Review on πŸ”΄ Red JBL Charge 2+ Splashproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker: Boost Your SEO! by Olubanjo Triantafilou

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great speaker with powerful bass

I compared this to the VAVA Voom 20 and the Cambridge Angle 3. Three price points, with JBL being the highest, so perhaps it's not surprising that JBL takes first place. Pros: β€’ Better sound with strong bass and good mids and highs. Tested with rock, acoustic and audio books β€’ Attractive appearance β€’ Cylindrical form factor, fits in car cup holders. (I have two in my car and it fits the larger of the two.) β€’ Fits my iPhone very well. The most reliable and fastest connection of any speaker I've tested. β€’ Social mode is convenient because everyone in the car can share music and everything else. I bought it to use in my old car without Bluetooth so it's a nice feature. β€’ Hands-free functions. (I haven't tested this yet.) β€’ Splashproof (although it's almost a given these days). Cons: β€’ NO PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON. This is by far the biggest design flaw. I almost think it's a mistake on their part. Fumbling with the phone to pause playback is very annoying anywhere and potentially dangerous in the car. β€’ No NFC. β€’ The charging cable and adapter are bright orange, which seems strange since I bought a red speaker. I thought they were either red or black. This is a very small note but I thought I'd mention it. In the end I am very happy with JBL. I've used it on a few trips with the top down and not only have I had no problems with my hearing, but I've had no problems listening to the music.
