Most of the things I present now come from magazines or bound books. The bedside scanner has obvious disadvantages when it comes to scanning printed media. Bedside scanners are notoriously low resolution, requiring software and "broom" scanning to produce synthetic image quality. To be honest, bed scanners have never been this good. I'm tired of the bedside scanner! The optical advantage of the BAOSHARE Visualizer compared to the bedside scanner is its autofocus and the increased focal length between the object and the imager. It would be ideal if all of the documents were recorded on a chip. As I explored the possibilities it works exceptionally well in old-school projector mode. Paper for recording in high definition on HDTV. I was surprised by the ability to record live video under the camera. Very impressive. No return to bed scanner from desktop.
