If you adopt kittens from a shelter the same day you delivered the tray, there is little you can do if you don't like something you can't do like a Kittens return trash and, of course, use the box. There is a wall around the perimeter of the little box that needs to be assembled and it's not as easy as the instructions might suggest and so the walls have slipped and collapsed so many times that two cheap little pieces of plastic bumps, that were supposed to connect the walls were quickly released without the use of force. I had to use it as is and luckily the walls still stayed in place. The tub does not slide out easily and although the floor appears to be spill proof, the cat litter spilled onto the floor under the tub as the cats rummaged through the litter. After you take the litter box out, you won't have any wall protection when emptying what the cats left in the crate, since the litter box wall itself is low, causing debris to fall out when scooped out. While the concept is good, it just doesn't work properly, and the $60 I paid I could use for other things. I would definitely not buy again.
