Bought this to replace a much older and failing similar product by Defiant. Used as a door alarm for those packages we'd otherwise not know are there.Works fine, though I'd hoped for a little more range. Maybe I'll have to play with positioning. Hoped the chime had a little louder setting also. And the battery compartment is accessed by the removal of four tiny screws (which is a bit of a nuisance).The default tone is a ding dong chime. Haven't figured out how to set the others, but the default is fine for me as I don't prefer jingles on my phone or alert systems.We'll see how it performs over time.
