I bought this scoop for our ice bucket. I was sick of my family members going into the freezer with unwashed hands or hands with peanut butter or salt and pepper on them, and I had an odd taste or stain on my ice cream when it was my turn. It's just the right size for scooping ice into a glass or water bottle and feels very strong. It drives you a little crazy when you use it, which means your kids will actually want to use it instead of freezing their hands (and your ice cream is contaminated with god knows what). Would happily buy this shovel again.
