Review on Garmin 16x HVS GPS by Jared Bradford

Urgently needed it for the race in Nevada. Revane paid for a one-day delivery to my motel in the mountains. But when I then hooked it up to my dedicated race computer, it didn't work! What to do?!? It won't even generate a PPS clock even when it's disconnected from my circuit! Then I decided to read the online manual very carefully (documentation does not come with the product itself). It turns out that the yellow wire is the remote power button line - if it stays floating, the unit is powered off. YOU MUST EARTH THE YELLOW WIRE! Then the block worked perfectly. It's only a day away from the race, so I'm hoping it performs as well as it did on the bench test in a motel room.
