Reef Builder is the product I use to control the alkalinity in my aquariums. It's worth buying in such a large container just to save a few bucks. It's a good product, dissolves well and the results I get with it are consistent. The only problem I've found is that when it starts to dry out a bit it can stick together and leave a few little white crumbs that end up in the tank. I've never had a problem with them and haven't seen any damage related to small white pieces otherwise it would be a 4x rating. Luckily it always looks fresh when I order it in big buckets and I usually use quite a bit of it year-round.
