Battery on star cable VERY SHORT! It is only 12 inches from the first light to the battery (see photo). Except for a very short and thin tree, you won't be able to reach the switch on the battery pack. We removed the lanterns and threaded the end of our tree's lanterns to save this product. Otherwise we would have returned it. The base also requires a bit of fiddling to stay upright on the tree (see photo). On the other hand, we got a 40 inch garland that can be used as an accent in the center part. Other than that, it's a nice product. The star is very beautiful and shines in the desired brightness and color.
