Review on πŸ–ŒοΈ Mini Ink Air Blower for Alcohol Ink: Perfect for Alcohol Inks, Card Making, Crafts, and Embossing by Carol Miller

Revainrating 3 out of 5

as described but not my preferred way of blowing ink

There is nothing wrong with this fan, it is described exactly and looks well made. It's a rubber ball that you squeeze, which sends a stream of air through a plastic tube that you point at the ink. This causes the ink to spread and spill out. The outgoing blast is strong and powerful, and the ink spreads with a single squeeze. But it was too difficult for me to get a light whiff and not a strong explosion. I don't always want a big splash, sometimes a little squirt will do. My other problem is time. We all know that alcohol ink dries in a millisecond and the time between dropping the ink, dropping the bottle and picking up the pear is in many cases too long because my ink has already dried. I've tried using Claro Extender and it helps in general and with this pear. I have an airbrush that I used for this purpose and now this, but I have to admit my favorite is still the drinking straw. I can adjust the amount/how little air I exhale, from a big puff to a small puff, but I can also hold the straw in my mouth, no hands needed so I can blow ink through the straw without even putting it down the bottle and grab another device.

Pros
  • Embossing: Perfect for removing embossing powder from your work after you're done.
Cons
  • No performance
