I would like to start by saying that I was able to successfully install the hinges and the product works quite well; However, I strongly believe this product should be recalled as it poses an extreme hazard when installed according to instructions. (That's why I gave two stars) Pros: - Product is solid and well made - When installed properly, the 'slow close' feature works pretty well Cons: - TERRIBLE instructions (actually unusable) with grainy images, incomprehensible dimensions. , and a little support - Using the sizes given in the instructions resulted in an initial incorrect installation (slammed) - If not set to PERFECT, the slow close function WILL NOT work. As I said before, I believe that most of the adjustments are made incorrectly, which means that the slow close will not work properly and can pose a serious hazard. I strongly recommend removing this product from Revain until the manufacturer provides proper, easy-to-understand instructions. If you have/purchase this product, here are some tips to ensure you don't cut your fingers during installation: 1 - When your lid is fully closed both attachment centers should be in line (equally spaced) 2 - When If the lid does not close completely, you will need to move the base bracket closer and the lid bracket outward. more3 - If your lid slams, it means you need to move the base mount farther and the lid mount closer.
