Review on ACDelco 177 1150 Original Equipment Front by Bill Kodba

Just got around to replacing the original rotors on my wife's 2017 Enclave. They were deformed and had to be replaced or restored. I don't like grinding rotors so I bought these instead. Much to my surprise, the originals I photographed had "BOSCH” written on the back of the hat. I took a Delco AC out of its sealed box with a hologram verification sticker that also said "BOSCH". The only thing I didn't understand was the cover. A gray anti-corrosion coating covers the entire surface, including the surface where the pads connect. It wasn't clear if this casting should be removed before installation or if the pads should just take it off for the first few miles of braking. After googling a bit and trying unsuccessfully to remove it with thinner, I decided to just leave it alone.
