Review on ASUS VE228H 1920X1080 Back Lit Monitor 21.5", 60Hz, Wide Screen, by Sean Belcher

I really like this product, it works exactly as advertised. Just a few things to let buyers know about my personal experience: I ordered this monitor brand new for my first PC build and it arrived with a dead pixel. I asked to be replaced and it was very easy. They sent me a replacement and I had 30 days to send another one back and leave it at the UPS store. The new one they sent me also had a dead pixel somewhere else. Some of my friends have told me that things like this are more common these days, but personally when I'm paying for something new I want it to be free from defects. So I'm sending the second one back for the third. I'm pretty sure it's not the seller's fault or anything, just be aware. My girlfriend finds it annoying, but I'm fine. As it is a power saving product, it will go into sleep/sleep mode if you don't use it for about 5-10 minutes. The monitor even goes to sleep automatically, all you have to do is press the spacebar or whatever to wake it up like everything else. I have no problem with it, that's one of the reasons I bought it. But she doesn't like that she runs to do something and comes back to a black screen. Just wanted to mention if for some reason you want to leave your screen on for long periods of time. A very good monitor indeed, easy to connect via HDMI. The picture quality is excellent. I just wanted buyers to know about my past experience.
