Never lose a dog again!

I am very grateful for this device. I've been using it for about six months when I walk and train my German Hound. The only issues I really had were operating errors, like forgetting to plug it in and get a full charge before walking my dog. Last year I lost my dog hunting and it's been a pretty sad few months. I'm still not quite over it. I don't know what happened to her. I needed to buy a new dog and decided I would not lose another dog. I was researching what I could do to track down collars. I like this one because it has a display on the hand control and you don't have to add another app to your phone or take your phone with you on a hunt. I usually do this, but I like to save battery wherever I can on my phone for emergencies, and keeping an eye on my dog on the phone screen doesn't save battery. That's convenient. I think you can tether it to your phone too, but I'm not sure. It will also be downloaded to your computer if you wish. I'm not really up for it. I also like the charging system that comes with it, it's easy to use although you have to make sure it vibrates when you plug it in. This gives you eight hours of charge time, which is usually enough for even the longest day of Chukar hunting. It would be nice if you could somehow save this fee. An additional battery would not hurt either. She will inform you when your dog is there. Well in my experience it's not quite right, it just tells you where your dog is and says it's 200 meters in front of you or to your right etc. It tells you your dog is in place, itself when you see your dog running in front of you. I have disabled this feature. Rather useless. If my dog sat still for a minute before the controller realized he was in place, that would be nice. But the truth is I just want to be able to track my dog and know where he is if he gets over the ridge in front of me. I found the training manual CD that came with the system very helpful, and above all the tip: always do something funny with your dog immediately after it is put on, so that it associates it with fun and not with work or discipline.
