Review on Neewer Panoramic Aluminum Panorama Capacity by Jake Pavelko

Revainrating 2 out of 5

does not tighten, pan movement is uneven

so tightening will not secure the handle; I can still pinch and move the camera with one finger. Also, the panning motion is jerky, like it's "capturing" - I had a hard time panning the video more than 90 degrees smoothly. Replaced it with B&H's Feisol PB-70 which is MUCH better. Unfortunately, it's also a bit heavier, but I'm happy to accept that. Also note that panorama bases can have a locking handle on the base or on the top. The handle either stays on the tripod when the camera is rotated (as with this one), or the handle rotates with the camera (as with Feisol). Just a matter of preference, but using it might make a difference for you.

Pros
  • DURABILITY IN USE: Made of finely machined aluminum alloy, strong and durable, with effective shock absorption, good heat resistance and corrosion resistance; Easy to install and remove
Cons
  • Obsolete
