Easiest metal die I've ever worked with

So much to love about such a small piece of metal. always have a nice, clean and scratch-free surface to work with. Second, I was expecting a slightly thinner piece of aluminum for the price, but no. It's nice, thick but not too big, about 1.5mm. Perhaps the seller can clarify this, as many rammers also pay attention to the thickness of the part they are working on. required for aluminum stamps. They are made of ALUMINUM and are very easy to work with. Unless you're an experienced puncher, I suggest using the tapping method (two or three small punches) instead of one hard punch, as it's fairly easy to hit hard enough, to make an impression along with your letter or pattern. Fourth, if you want the hammered look of your stamp, use that and not break your wrists/arms when you have to forge multiple stamps. AMAZING chiselled look! The only negative: some of the backs had pretty good scratches, so much so that it was pretty obvious. However, I ended up cutting a stamp of the same size (1 inch) out of LIGHT felt. With the E600 I glued the felt to the matrix. After it dried I used the Mod Podge to seal the felt. a metal punch to pierce the fabric and dried glue. You know what? I LOVE IT! And you can use any color of felt! There is a very nice touch! The only negative: Some of the backs had pretty good scratches, so much so that it was pretty obvious.
