I ordered the "round" style of this type of necklace. It consists of many reflective small gold discs hanging from a thicker segmented chain. I was glad it didn't look like a necklace that the length listed was correct. While I can't comment on its durability or strength, I can say that I like it. Overall, it's more subtle than I thought when I looked at the promotional images. That's more yellow gold than I expected. It doesn't appear to be more expensive; I don't think many people would think that this is pure gold of any karat. But glitter! I wore it with another gold chain. As a small piece of jewelry with a little shine, it looks good. I think this could be an especially good gift for a younger teenager.
