This lamp melted my GT700 lens two days after installation. Now when I turn it on there is a big black spot no matter what lamp is used. Be careful with universal lamps. Also, the screws were misaligned, as was the stock bulb. There are other reviews here that mention the black stain, but it looks like they wrote their reviews before realizing the stain was permanent. My lamp was sold by a G-lamp seller. Never again.
