I liked the colors of this rug next to the door. One of the palm flowers goes perfectly with my freshly painted front door and adds a little boldness to the front of my house. I received it in a very dry July. However, after my return period expired, we had very heavy rains. My rug is under the porch canopy, but it may rain. After the rain I found that the mat was heavily discolored (very dark brown) and where the rain hit the mat a dark dark brown REMAINS. It holds so much moisture that I can't completely dry it even if I pick it up and hang it over a plastic container to increase airflow. The beautiful colors of the fern leaves are not visible now because they are very dark, dark brown. I have had other floor mats with the same texture but they never held water like this one and kept a very dark brown color. I expected the entrance mat to last at least 2-3 seasons but I am planning on installing this. The carpet retains so much moisture that it defeats the purpose of a doormat to absorb moisture from footprints. It's like stepping on a wet, damp carpet that never dries. I would like to return in a different style.
