This monocular is very good quality to the best of my knowledge. I'm not a professional, but I pride myself on taking good photos with my iPhone. The phone attachment is easy to use. I would recommend placing the phone on the adapter/holder before attaching it to the monocular. I used a small thin washer under the screw knob that holds the lens adapter in place. It wasn't tight enough for the adapter cup to center on the camera lens. The tripod is fine. I had an old tripod that I used when I was photographing classes in college. The monocular fits right in, so I prefer to use my old one. The one that comes with it is fine, but a bit unstable. Better than nothing. Be patient and you will be successful. Even without an iPhone, the monocular convinces with its value.
