Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Newlight66 Indoor Hygrometer: Rechargeable Temperature and Humidity Monitor with Clock and Large Screen Display by Rob Madden

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Basically unusable, the temp is 10 degrees off (calibration?) I can't find the off button, it came discharged.

I simply set the time, day, date, but the instructions for this thing are rubbish. I don't know how to enable/disable it from the controller. Didn't work until I plugged in the USB cable, no battery level indicator. No USB converter was included. The USB charging cable is basically too short for permanent use and requires this transformer or at least a handy USB plug. Also, I placed it next to two other temperature gauges, one electronic and the other analog, a metal key with a temperature sensor. Both read 75 F plus or minus a tenth or so, here read 85 F. Is calibration required? I assumed the small round hole on the back was for a reset and tried it, but nothing happened despite repeated attempts. If I had something to praise it would be a good sized LCD and maybe a retractable stand on the back, but bottom line it didn't exactly work at all. It looks a bit closer in humidity, but I don't trust that either. Inexpensive but they should have taken a few bucks more and made it more useful and accurate. Not recommended.

Pros
  • High-quality assembly
Cons
  • No instructions
