I wore these gloves about 40 years ago while doing outdoor projects in my (much) younger years. This company has been making quality work gloves since 1907 and has also produced several other lines. Now you can find them built for motoring, construction, chemical resistance, farming, BBQ, gardening, painting, outdoor recreation and some other fields. And they make these gloves for all family members. Their design and performance are always top notch and you can expect them to perform properly for whatever job they are designed for. Clever use of soft leather with extra padding on the back and palms, making the gloves strong and durable, yet still writable. If you take good care of them, they will reward you with great clothes. The only mistake I made when ordering was I ordered Large instead of Extra-Large. The large size is tight for me, but getting wet helped stretch it. There is now a hand size chart on the product page to help you choose the right size. You can't go wrong with Wells Lamont.
