Fully functional and stylish looking

What initially attracted me to this product was its looks. However, due to the lack of reviews, I had concerns about the quality. The product arrives well packaged. The kit included the following: a multimeter, regular test leads, alligator lead probes, a temperature probe, a user manual, and a carrying case. The meter is supplied without batteries and is powered by 2 AA batteries. The lines on the mat under the gauge are 0.5 inches (inches) for reference in pictures. It is approximately 5.75 x 2.91 x 1.34 inches. "Long and 35" for alligator clips. Definitely shorter than others I've used in the past, but that's not a disqualification. I tested all functions on the meter. Everything worked as expected. I measured various resistors and all readings were within the resistor's tolerance. I also measured a couple of capacitors and the measured capacitance was correct within 4 digits of the screen. The diodes, continuity, AC V, DC V and current functions also worked. The user interface is very simple, looks much cleaner and is easier to use than a regular rotary switch. The lines on the screen are very clear. During the day, the screen is easy to read from the outside. The auto-off feature is set to 5 minutes, which I find to be a good amount of time for myself. It can also be deactivated as described in the user manual. The beep occurs when power is cycled on and off, when switching modes, during a continuity test, and during an NCV test (though perhaps some are missed). It sounds like a 1950 Hz triangle wave. There's also a battery level indicator that will alert you when the battery is low to avoid false readings. The materials do not appear to be inferior. The exterior/housing is made of thermoplastic elastomer and is scratch resistant and will absorb some shock if dropped. Time will tell how durable it is. If there is deterioration other than normal wear and tear, as well as other issues, I will update this review at my discretion. Overall the multimeter looks fantastic and works exactly as described.
