We have two Savannah cats who are probably too smart for their own good. One of them can open any door in our house, whether it opens inwards or outwards. We have lever handles instead of handles. We swapped out the knobs in the bedrooms and closets so they can stay locked from the outside. We had 12 sodas in front of the pantry and cabinet doors that opened outward. We have our house in the market so we have to move 12 packs during shows and they just didn't look good. We bought these two packs of thick door clamps to protect and keep those two doors closed from cats. Because of their thickness, they work well for our doors, which have a larger gap between the bottom of the door and the tiles. The shorter door block (1 inch) just went under the door when opened and did nothing. My husband bought a thicker one at our local hardware store and it cost over $10! I found these 2 packs at Revain and the price was much cheaper. I ordered them and sent one back to the hardware store. They work like a charm, look way better, and are easy to move with your foot when you need to get through the door. Being rubber, they are also cat-safe on our ceramic tiles as they are not easily removed from toenails. For our purposes, they work great.
