New digital media can be frustrating; Changing channels takes forever, and pressing the wrong buttons will "reset" the device, which can take ten to fifteen minutes. The unit works well and the manual, thick as it is, assumes the user is familiar with terns etc, which is a sticking point. However, the phone support is very good. However, what I didn't know was that when using the VCR function, it wouldn't record digital broadcasts, which is strange since I was able to record to tape with my old non-digital device via a converter. This is a big minus, but there are others if that doesn't bother you. Picture, sound, etc. are fine. Definitely worth it or the price if it takes a while; Just take a look. Haven't recorded a DVD yet though.
