I used these to cover pre-punched holes in a recently purchased video cabinet. I liked two things about them: the black color and the fact that the brush unit is removable, which allows them to be used with other prefabricated wall panels. In my case I took a brush assembly and used it with a wider wall plate. So instead of having 3-inch round holes on the back of the case, they keep the outside looking clean and hopefully a bit dust-free. Those available at local home centers were white, but to make matters worse, the brush assembly could not be removed. In my application I had to use a longer screw that was supposed to be unpainted, but the screws that come with the plate fit perfectly. They are cheap and well made.
