Review on SYSTEMS Blue Sea Blade Block by Anthony Heinrichs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is a direct pass through the fuse block, not through the busbar block.

I have switches and fuses for everything and need independent circuit protection for this part of my 85 M1009 (aka K5 Blazer). This Blue Sea product fits perfectly. I have an electrical junction box (6) with two independent 40A circuits (3) that switch on each main fuse. I used a fuse box to protect any circuit that disconnects 12 volt loads. The 12V supply leaves the switch at power-up, through the fuse box to the load, and finally to ground. This way I can choose the fuse size for each switch. I have a variety of loads from a powered junction box (6) ranging from 5 to 20 amps and each circuit is individually protected by this fuse box rather than just relying on the main 40 amp fuse on the junction box. If I somehow blow a fuse on a circuit, I don't remove the main 40 amp fuse. It has no bus service. That means you aren't distributing power through the single 12V wire that comes with this box. Each fuse circuit must be live or grounded. It's an extension of the fused wire between power and load, forming a neat package rather than using a bunch of built-in fuses. Hope that helps!
