My old Dell with windows 10 came with a 80gb hard drive it was 90% full and we all know it's dangerous. So I ordered a new 1TB drive and this clone pack. I bought a 3.5" drive as that is the size of the machine and I didn't want to change TOO many variables. Although some reviews say they had no problem using this kit for cloning. A 3.5 hard drive (the box says 2.5 hard drive or SSD) will NOT work for me; The Echo software did not "see" the drive connected to the USB cable. NTI tech support emailed back the same day that the USB cable would not power the 3.5, apparently they needed more power than the 2.5. Place, the software just saw it, and the cloning took about 1/2 hour. Then I removed the cloned drive, installed it in place of my C drive, and put the second drive back in its normal place - booted right away! The only problem was that my Quickbooks desktop wouldn't start, I couldn't find the required license file in the right place. Quickbooks has a tool hub program that fixed the problem in about 10 more minutes.
