Review on πŸͺ’ Schick Quattro Titanium: Men's 1 Razor with 16 Razor Blades Refills – High-Quality Grooming Solution by Jeanie Escobedo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good price but not as good as the competition

If you're looking for value for money this 16 blade handle razor is a great buy. I'm not a big fan of Schick razors, but I had to buy some as I ran out of Gillette blades. It's also time for a new pen. Revain offered same day delivery and the unit price was attractive. Let's go back to Sheek and see if they're any better. This razor works, but it's definitely _not_ my favorite. I have been shaving for over 30 years and have primarily used the Gillette Trac II, Mach3 and Fusion5. I also used a lot of disposables. No good memories of using Schick in the past but I decided to try them again as the price was much lower compared to Gillette. It's rare that the old adage "you get what you pay for" doesn't apply. In this case it is true. This Quattro Titanium is better priced than its Gillette counterpart, but you'll feel the difference. Overall the shave is good but not that close. Cleaning the razor is a hassle as hair gets stuck in the blades and simply running water in the sink won't remove it. I resort to a lot of tapping and occasionally use a metal toothpick to remove hair from the blades. I didn't have a big problem with Gillette. I probably won't be buying any more. This product is great value but I prefer a higher quality experience. Life is too short not to enjoy the little things. Honestly, I don't want to "think" about shaving. If I'm upset about the blade hitting my hair, I'm burning too many thoughts. My next razor purchase might be going back to Gillette or one of those online companies like Harry's or DollarShaveClub.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other razors
