Review on 🚴 Topeak Aero Wedge Velcro Pack: Streamlined and Secure Storage Solution for Cyclists by Jason Robinson

Size comparison medium to large

I've been using the medium aero wedge for a few months now but when I wanted to carry more gear I found it wasn't big enough so I decided to give it a big try . I needed a bag long enough to hold both a folding lock and a mini pump, as well as a few small tools and snacks. In fact, everything but the pump could be put in the bag if I were creative and grabbed the zipper diagonally without unzipping it. The big one could fit everything, and with the zip open you could even add a 29" tube, leaving some room. The fastening straps are well thought out in the middle and support from the middle of the floor to the top. the back of the bag. This is good for preventing sagging when there is a heavy load in it. It also works well with the dropper post and adjusts as you lower the post. If you increased the size of the bag, you did not take into account that our bicycle seats do not grow either. Here's a big downside. To install it you must fully stretch the straps to the maximum length to place it on the seat. If you don't have an IV pole this can work, but if you have an IV pole and try to lower it, not enough straps will result in the bag collapsing into a lopsided shape with less volume. If the straps were set the same distance as the Dium, it would still support the bag and fit properly on the dropper post seat. seat frame by sliding the attachment point backwards a few centimetres. I've tested this setup on some very rocky trails with no sagging or binding failure issues. Along with the bar and color to match the bike's hardware, it costs about $10.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
