Take an old iPod with a 40GB hard drive and set it up.
I took my trusty old iPod 40GB 2004 4th gen monochrome screen and installed a new battery, replaced the rotating drive with this adapter and CF card adapter to install the SD card adapter, the 128GB microSD picks up. Map. I now have a very light 128GB iPod (119GB formatted) with fantastic sound and my entire CD library in Apple Lossless format (much better than MP3 or AAC which peak at 320kbps). first with 256 GB SD cards, but they seem too big for this generation iPod, it refuses to recognize more than 8 GB.
