I've had my eye on this camera for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger and get it. Installation was pretty easy, but I did a few things to make the process easier. The first step was to remove the front seat. It might have been an overstatement, but removing the four bolts gave me a better chance of threading the wire through and attaching it to the existing seatbelt branch that runs under the seat. I was also able to route the cable to the side of the center console instead of under the dash as others have described. Another thing I did after seeing others' recommendations was drill an extra hole in the trunk for the camera to come out from behind. I used a 1/4" drill bit and bought a set of 1/4" rubber grommets to seal the hole and provide a cushion for the wire rather than a sharp edge. This prevented twisting of the camera cable. and I think this will prevent some of the problems that others have described as premature failure. My only issue, which isn't really a problem or complaint, was that because I didn't route the cable under the dash, I left a significant amount of wire that I simply coiled up and secured under the trunk lid. All in all happy with the improvement offered by the camera. I will update the review if I encounter any issues.
