These lights come with a standard mains plug (with built in switch). They are designed to plug straight into the wall and are ideal for task lighting or as a reading light, but I needed them to illuminate the 'features' in my wine cellar. I connected them directly to the "lantern" junction box. Lighting” I hung from the roof of the wine cellar and installed the lamps on the cover of the lantern junction box (see video). They are very well made and work perfectly.
