This product works normally. The only problem is that Revain posted the wrong picture and ignored several requests for correction. This device does not have a rigid modular cable at one end. This is another Fluke Banjo product. This device has a modular plug on both ends, and you can plug it into a working phone to break the four wires of the RJ-11 connector. thin alligator clips are securely attached to the test phone. I am very happy with this device and there is no excuse for the poor rating a reviewer gave it. This reviewer is unhappy because the picture was wrong. He should have just returned his purchase and gotten what he wanted, which I'm sure Revain would have done for nothing if you saw the wrong photo on this site. If you check the model number on the Fluke website you will see that it has a modular plug on both ends. It works great in situations where it is required.
