First the good: It's a very nice device - a little big but not a problem for me. The sound is excellent, both for the radio and for playing on the iPhone. Lots of features. Cons: I find the controls VERY unintuitive. I'll look into it for sure, but having to constantly search for material is annoying. In addition, the instructions for the user are on a large sheet folded in the form of a huge card. If you need to refer to the instructions frequently, why not print a small bound booklet? and the up/down arrow keys (presumably for navigating the menus) do absolutely nothing. I used live chat to speak to a technician who was absolutely unhelpful. He kept telling me to change the battery in the remote control. I don't stock lithium batteries and this is a brand new device with a new battery. We also tried restarting the device, but the menu buttons and arrows still didn't respond. After talking to this guy for half an hour (most of which took five minutes to reply "OK" or "Okay" to everything I typed, followed by an offer to replace the battery, I had myself after I said no ), I finally called and spoke to someone who sent me a shipping label (still not received over 12 hours later) to send the remote in for replacement. If it weren't so difficult to give everything back to Revane, I would have done it. It's also annoying that they won't ship a new remote (which probably only costs $5) until they get the old one. I don't see any other reviews mentioning remote control issues, so maybe I'm a lemon. Anyway, I have to select music on the iPhone (it's an iPhone 5 with the latest updates) by tapping the screen instead of moving with the remote. And then of course more taps to restore the included app when you want to use it. All in all I'm rather disappointed. The sound system is good though and will hopefully become easier to use with a little practice. Update: I received a replacement remote that works (or doesn't work) the same as the original remote. I checked the instructions twice and these buttons should really do something. So either it's a documentation issue or it's a problem with my device. I'll get in touch with Sony (the number for further issues was given when the remote was shipped) and let you know if I'm speaking to someone who actually knows what he/she is talking about.
