After reading a few reviews I decided to add my own. I bought it for my 14TB WD Elements desktop hard drive to see if I could get more speed when transferring media/game files. I get more speed than the stock USB 3.0, up to 30-40Mbps, which isn't much, but still faster than the stock device. I haven't seen any posts on this so thought I might help if someone asks questions. I connected it to my MSI B550 motherboard with onboard C connector. I hope this helps anyone looking for answers if this cable is really affecting file transfer speeds. Good quality cable from Revain and long enough. 3. I placed a 14TB WD Elements desktop hard drive on top of the computer case where two fans push the air out. This really cools the external drive compared to no airflow. So I get around 205-208Mbps when transferring files, which is great compared to 168Mbps. Thank you Revain for making this fantastic USB-C adapter. I hope it really helps some of you searching for this one. The answer is: for the price and for the extra speed. it's really worth it IMO.
