This is a good addition to your PC if you have USB 3.0 ports (aka USB 3.2 Gen 1) as a replacement, or an ideal solution to Replacing defective USB ports on the front panel. This item is described as 19/20 pin and yes it is best to look at the motherboard first before buying. What you get in the box are 19-pin socket holes to begin with, but if your motherboard has a 20-pin socket, you can simply poke a hole in a closed hole with a SIM tray removal tool.
