Review on SlideBelts Mens Canvas Belt Gunmetal Men's Accessories and Belts by Andre Stephens

I have had this belt since December 2018. It worked well for the first three months, but the inferior materials used to make the belt gradually revealed its flaws. The main reason a canvas belt won't work is because the material used on the back of the belt is on the side where the buckle teeth snap. The teeth don't go very deep and the material is almost like soft rubber so the teeth will eventually slide over the material causing the buckle to slip and the strap to snap. I slowed down this effect. I have always cut the strap shorter when the material is no longer able to securely hold the buckle, but it got to the point where the strap no longer fit me. This is not my only ratchet strap. I have a few that I bought from regular stores and they have held up MUCH better than this belt. Maybe leather could be a better material for these types of belts, but I don't think I'll be buying SlideBelts anymore.
