Review on πŸŒ™ Satin Bonnets Sleep Caps for Curly Hair: 2-Pack Wide Band Satin Bonnet Sleeping Caps for Women, Night Hat Head Cover for Natural Hair by Sarah Greenwood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worth a try for sensitive hair; it's easy to sleep in and not expensive to try

I'm wearing it to protect against hair breaking due to illness (or maybe a medication to treat that illness. ) I thought I was getting hot or uncomfortable. Not me. It stays on my head most of the night and isn't overly warm or otherwise irritating. I also wear a sleep mask and this is more noticeable on my head when I sleep (if this comparison helps any other sensitive soul). I put on a hat when I go to bed and put a sleep mask over it. I'm not sure if long thongs are really necessary and how to wear them. I cross them behind the back (at the back of the head) then up and up and tie a bow at the top over the forehead. I look stupid and ties slip off in the morning but hat stays on. I wash the hat with other silk items (winter underwear, nightgowns, etc.) on a gentle cycle. It's only been a month or so, but seems to be holding up well. I dry my silk clothes on a hanger that I hang over the bathtub. I can't tell if my hair is even better, but I wake up with no negative difference in how it looks/feels. Since the hat does not irritate when worn, I will wear it until it wears out. If I feel my hair condition has improved I will try to update this review. I suspect it will be a very long experiment. UPDATE: After about six months of use, the lid still looks brand new. I machine wash it once a week along with other delicates and hang dry. It remained comfortable enough to wear on all but the hottest summer nights. My hair may have gotten healthier, but definitely not worse. I wish I could be more helpful on this front, but I don't have the answer. At least I'm sure I'm not pulling my hair out now because I sleep covered in it. Also, this cap is a perfect match for my new CPAP machine headgear. This is to prevent contaminating the CPAP mask straps or damaging brittle hair.
