So I went ahead and read a lot of articles about wearing a bike helmet and thought it might be a good idea. In fact, I reluctantly decided to purchase it, thinking I would most likely return it. One of the nice things about Amazon is that there are so many items to compare at different prices, with different designs, colors and prices. I have read reviews here and continue to read articles and reviews on Amazon. I compared the size, cost and construction of the helmets to the motorcycle helmets I have owned and couldn't figure out what justified the very high cost of some of these bike helmets. At first I thought I would buy something in the $50/$100 range. More research, more comments, more opinions, more research statistics. And that's where I stopped. I thought I wouldn't like it. In fact, I decided I wouldn't like either helmet and ended up sending it back. Let's jump forward. He's coming and I agree to give him a chance. I've never held it in my hands. thought they looked something. And you know. After figuring out how to tighten the helmet by moving the straps, don't cut a strap until you tighten it properly, I held my breath, put it on and decided I had to give it a try. run before I pack it up again and send it back. Surprise! Short trip, quite interesting, not as "invasive" as I expected. Before I get it back I have to drive longer. Of course I will not use a magnetic sight. So I rode my bike to the nearest park with long paved and unpaved trails. I took the visor because it was a sunny day. About 2 hours on paved and dirt trails, under trees, uphill and downhill, I also wore the visor. Final thoughts as I loaded the bike onto the bike rack: much better than I could have ever imagined. Very easy. Good visibility. Visor is a pleasure to have and use. Also very comfortable. As a result, I turned to the very practical idea of wearing a bike helmet. and I'm surprised I just wrote that sentence. A word of caution, make sure you wear your helmet properly. The path that helmet straps take when you adjust the length can take some time and patience. Again, do not cut the length of the strap until it fits perfectly. I love and recommend this helmet.
