I bought these shoes for a trip to USVI and wanted something more "beachy" than tennis shoes. They are ideal for island hopping, light trekking and hiking, and hiking. These shoes are so comfortable that I now wear these bad boys instead of my tennis shoes for daily errands and walking around. Like water shoes, they were good at draining water, pebbles, and sand. They handled climbing wet rocks and trails, provided enough support for hikes through the rainforest, and are super easy to clean when you come back and want to go out for dinner. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.
