Honest Review: Back Massagers

With so many questionable reviews and unscrupulous sellers offering free items for positive reviews, let me start by saying that I have not received any compensation for this product or review. I was just looking at the options and bought this one. This is the third massage pillow I have. I've had lower back pain for most of my adult life, mostly due to scoliosis and honestly not bad posture. I'm 60 years old and very active, but in recent years my back pain has been increasing and massage is the best way for me to get rid of it. Overall it's pretty good for a pillow. The previous two I've had were Homedics, mostly in the $100 range, and that's an improvement. Can't comment on longevity as I've only had it a short time, but if I run into any issues I'll be sure to write back. Pros: Gel balls are good. still very firm (and I like deep pressure massage) but not as hard as plastic. The Spot feature is excellent which I use most of the time. The rolling feature is better than I thought. The slow up and down movement is great, and the lower back knots actually deepen as the upper back knots push forward. Surprisingly good. In general, the pressure is good. Cons: As others have said, the neck leaves a lot to be desired. But I think it's good that you can decide for yourself how far to go. I've never seen a pillow that wraps the neck properly. I wish you could adjust the back to stick out like a neck. The pillow I had does it. I assume this is done to avoid injury and liability. You must be careful not to put too much pressure on sensitive areas of your spine. But I would really like to have a little more pressure. In conclusion, a few tips I've found are helping me, but of course, use common sense, talk to your doctor, and note that these tips only apply to me: limit the stroke length of all the pillows I've tried. , Many people complain about it. So you have to use pillows to sit on to get him on his lower back. The best thing for me is that I put it on my bed or sofa. Supporting the sides of my back. Then I lay down on her. BUT you have to be careful. This kind of pressure can hurt if you don't know what you're doing. Make sure it is NOT on the spine, the knots should be on either side of the spine. First, if the pressure is too much, relax, just sit down and adjust. Experiment. Quite often I place the edge of the pillow right to the side of the padding area so my body is high enough. Also, I'm sure the device will wear out faster due to the higher pressure. I still prefer a real massage, it gives me the best relief. But that's just a second. In fact, I'm probably a candidate for an actual massage chair, but the cost is daunting and I'm managing my pain fairly well with it at the moment. I hope that was helpful!
