The pump works well and is light weight and inexpensive. But unsurprisingly, there's a downside: Mine found the coating literally peeling off the footstool, and well-developed rust on the underlying steel. (See photos taken right after the pump was unboxed.) It looks like they started with rusty steel and tried to coat it with silver paint. Whatever they used, it didn't stick. This shouldn't get in the way of functionality, but it's still disappointing for a new product to arrive rusted. It must have rained heavily in China that day.
