I bought these as a newbie to installing LAN cables and thought it would be easier than their included counterparts. I liked the idea of not measuring the wires exactly, but just slipping them through the connector. Then I would just cut off the excess in front and BAM, I'm good to go. However, there is a small ledge sticking out at the front ends of this connector where the extra wires stick out. This makes it almost impossible to trim the excess wires flush since the lip will get in the way. So unless you use a razor blade and risk biting that lip, you'll have a short length of wires coming out of the connector holes. This doesn't seem to affect the performance of the cable itself, but for a borderline OCD person like me, it just bothers me. The biggest problem I had was not being able to make full use of my fancy crimping/cable/socket stripping tool that I bought just for the occasion. The crimper works fine, but I can't (shouldn't) use the cutting part of the tool to trim off the excess because it gnaws the entire lip down to the hockey stick. TL; DR - Connections work well, but trimming the excess isn't error-free/nice.
