Update: Decided to keep them. They just sound too amazing no matter how comfortable they are. These and the Afterhokz are the only true open-ear cycling headphones. Headphones, even with transparency modes, are just terrible for taking in your surroundings or having a conversation. These headphones sound better than even many in-ear headphones. I even use them to watch movies because of the amazing soundstage and default audio setting. and while eating, since I don't hear the banging like you have in your headphones. . Open-back in-ear headphones are just the future for people who want ambient noise or don't like headphones, and I hope BOSE doesn't abandon the technology. CONS1. They have a thin, hard plastic seam that protrudes inside the strap and around the ear tips that cut into the ear. It's not clear why BOSE released such a product. without silicone? For real? No way is it ipx4 or will it be long. But I've seen people on YouTube throw them in glasses of water. so maybe they are suitable for the rain lol.2. The holding case is magnetic so you have to pry it open a bit to open it but there is no magnet to hold the headphones as Bose would like you to drop them! who believe me You will be! 3. The big ties that go behind your ears make your ears stick out like a hobbit! Wear them with glasses and all this will only get worse! Pros: 1. Sounds decent, way better than aftershockz. In fact, they even sound better than many in-ear headphones. But to be honest you need to keep the volume low enough to fully hear what's going on around you as a runner or cyclist. So pumping them up for great sound is something you'll only do in other situations.
