Review on πŸ“Έ Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 Black Wireless Mobile Portable Scanner - Ideal for Mac or PC by Charles Mathews

Revainrating 5 out of 5

At this point, the scan went very smoothly.

We have just scanned over 7000 photos of ourselves and photos inherited from previous generations. The photographs weighed approximately 70#. Although the scanner came with what appeared to be stuck pixels, a few cleanings finally fixed those. At this point, the scan went very smoothly. Only occasionally did we have to clean the scanner. We used the recommended "Standard" scan profile with medium JPEG compression "3". There was hardly any noticeable degradation of the picture. By barely I mean zooming in JPEG until the eyeball (of someone in the photo) is about 1 inch on a computer monitor and comparing it to a paper photo with a physical loupe. Turns out the physical "fingerprints" we got from our film cameras aren't that good anyway, and that's the case for about 20 different film processors from 1940-2003. a long time to prepare the next photo for scanning, so it's going to be as fast as possible anyway. We're finally rid of all this. What a relief.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Too Boring
