Review on ๐ŸŽง Sena Outrush Bluetooth Modular Helmet with Intercom System for Motorcycles by Eddie Burgess

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks great, perfect for FM use

Firstly I think SENA or someone else merged the Outrush and Outrush R reviews. but still. Bought in bulk. I like big ones and some medium ones. It fits like a glove. no instructions. You have to download it. It's pretty strange to remember so much. Hard maps should be made to save a week or two on a bike. but ok the skirt is good. Padding is nice. the entire BT unit is located outside the helmet and is charged from there via C-USB. mine came fully charged. C-USB connects to software that needs to be downloaded and you can flash it. For some strange reason it didn't recognize that I had 1.0 and I upgraded to 1.0 again. but it worked fine. Then you need the "Sena Utility App" from the Google Play Store, which connects your phone (I have a Galaxy A12, Bluetooth 5) using the guide you downloaded. Everything went well. I was able to play music files and/or videos (for music) with the VLC player normally through the helmet. For me damn loud with lots of bass. So that's it, calling and FM is all I really have it for. FM worked well. loud and clear. I don't know when I'll try intercom etc. I drive alone Note: In addition to three other drivers using Sena, the manual states that one of them may not be Sena and describes how to connect in this way. Just a mention again, I doubt I'll be trying this out for an intercom system any time soon. I wanted a modular flip up. I have several full faces. This is currently with DOT and ECE? advertised but the helmet only shows DOT and I can't find an ECE rating inside either. They should make it clearer one way or another. Answer: It is designed for DOT and ECE, but we have two different models, one for DOT and one for ECEA Manufacturer August 5, 2021 This is really not an answer if they are made differently. and I think ECE is a higher rating. Plus, if you go to ECE, leave your helmet at home. DOT doesn't cut there. Oh well. I think I feel safe enough but I'm wondering if they make two different helmets with different safety levels? Considering that I'm used to riding without a helmet, then in half shells. It should be good. The wind is minimal for what I've experienced up to 70mph. Nice tight fit. the strap works perfectly. Music is as clear as phone calls, speed dialing is also available. returned to the music after hanging up. didn't expect more. Seems worth buying for my needs.

Pros
  • 15 hours of talk time on a single charge. Pair the helmet with your smartphone to enjoy music, listen to GPS navigation and make phone calls. Meets Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 218 (FMVSS 218)
Cons
  • Will not fit all
