The vent hole on the fan motor was machined in the wrong place.

Concluded that the vent that cools the engine was drilled in the wrong place. When you lined up all the screws where they should be, the vent was on the wrong side. The tube or hose is missing. It doesn't matter how I aligned the screws. What appears to have happened is poor quality control.
