This horrible product has ruined my beautiful Santos mahogany floors. I got tired of constantly replacing the glued-on felt pads on the dining room chairs as they never seemed to stick for more than a few months. I saw them and thought they were the perfect solution. 20 months after installation my floors are ruined. It turns out that the nail in it does not penetrate the plastic and eventually breaks through the felt pad. At this point the slider is still attached to the chair with the nail head sticking out. All that has to happen is one person pushes their chair off the table and your floors are a mess. You couldn't devise a more destructive mechanism for gouging wood if you tried. I've included some photos of my broken floor and my abusive felt liner with a protruding nail.
