If you wanted to buy some Zeiss solutions but couldn't really justify them, you might have stumbled across some forums and comparisons and found this lens. Just google "rokinon vs. zeiss". There are many very positive reviews and most reviewers conclude that they will sell their Zeiss lens and buy 2-3 more Rokinons. Based on that I got this one. That's exactly what you're hoping for. Excellent low light noise free lens. UPDATE: I was shooting in a very dark, shady forest this weekend. The shots were fantastic with limitations coming from my 5d2 and not the lens. There were no video artifacts or compression noise. Each frame was useful and looked great. Can't recommend enough. Next time I'll use 24mm.
