I bought this to try a different head type in a fly tying vise. I already have a crazy vise and was interested in the PEAK VICE's offset angle head. Bought a bench base and it's heavy enough to hold a vise while tying. The hook clamp is strong and reliable, and it's easy to adjust the hook through trial and error so that it works properly when the hook is rotated during the tying process. Peak has a great reputation with fly holders and I'm pretty sure I'll end up giving them to my fly fishing son when I get to the point where I can't see well enough to tie more flies. Hopefully there is still a long way to go as I still have a lot of fishing to do with my son and daughter. Great vices and great value if you decide to stick with fly tying forever.
